Panache

When it was built in the 1990s, Panache was an over-engineered, beautifully equipped mobile home which can sleep six at a push. You’ll benefit from a 11’7″ x 7’6″ master bedroom, a twin room, a spacious sitting room (with additional sleeping space for two more – bring sleeping bags and pillows), a shower room with toilet, kitchen and a cosy dining area.

There is a gas fire in the sitting room to keep you warm. A flat-screen TV and a pleasant ambiance with stunning sunsets and west-facing views over our fields and down to the valley.  In summer you can eat outside on the terrace.

Panache is self-catering. Also, you can either bring your own bed linen (sheets, duvet covers & pillow cases) or pay just a bit extra to have all that provided for up to four of you. Any more and you need to bring those sleeping bags and pillows. Bring your own towels.

Kindly scroll right down to see a full description of Panache and the bedding options given in the ‘extras’ drop-downWe recommend a three-night minimum stay which will give you two clear days of touring and relaxation.

Description

Panache is ideal for those who like their accommodation somewhat retro, as we haven’t upgraded anything except the vinyl flooring and the roof insulation.  As a result, Panache is priced to give you an affordable relaxing break in glorious countryside.

The large sitting room makes Panache an ideal centre for a small church retreat as it can seat around a dozen people for prayer or Bible study.

(You can make a group booking by adding Contessa and/or our double room and twin room in the lodge.)

A 2-course meal on arrival is also possible for £15.00 per person. Let us know by text or a call if you would like that. And of course you can negotiate further evening meals when you arrive. Evening meals centre around our own super-aged beef and mutton. It’s pot luck, but please feel free to express a preference! All meals are communal and sociable around our farmhouse kitchen table. Grey Alders is fully licensed.

We should also draw your attention to the Grey Alders Farm Shop here on site stocked with our own super-aged beef and mutton, top Welsh products, tinned and dry everyday essentials for you to put a stunning meal together, soft drinks, local beers, decent wines and our very own 6% ‘Tafod Teilo’ farm cider. (Grey Alders is fully licensed.) We also bake organic white and wholemeal bread here on site so you can order that in advance and enjoy it freshly-baked.
Just buy your vegetables on the way in!

Shower a bit rough and very little gas coming through for cooking. Otherwise very comfortable and amazing for the price. It was good to come and very good to meet you.

A delightful place for a holiday. Lovely views with sheep and cows with character. The quietness also allowed the peace and tranquility of Grey Alders to give us the rest we needed. Meals are superb. Also appreciated getting to know Steve and Judy and meeting other guests. An amazing place in the middle of remote countryside.

We spent 5 lovely relaxing and refreshing days at Grey Alders and brought back the most delicious beef we’ve ever tasted, and some tasty mutton, which we’d never tried before.

Our time there was just what we needed, time away in the beautiful countryside to rest. Our hosts were lovely.
