Description
Panache is ideal for those who like their accommodation somewhat retro, as we haven’t upgraded anything except the vinyl flooring and the roof insulation. As a result, Panache is priced to give you an affordable relaxing break in glorious countryside.
The large sitting room makes Panache an ideal centre for a small church retreat as it can seat around a dozen people for prayer or Bible study.
If you wish us to cook your breakfast, it is served up in our large kitchen-diner in the Lodge. A light breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, toast and jam or marmalade with fruit juice and either Kenyan or Rooibos tea or Kenyan Shiriki Lifestyle coffee is available as is a cooked breakfast with egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes. You will see that on the extras drop-down above.
Fruit juice is always not-from-concentrate, milk is full-fat, eggs are always free range and from our hens when they are laying, sausage is minimum 70% pork, bread is always home-baked and jam and marmalade are home-made, from local produce when available.
A 2-course meal on arrival is also possible for £12.50 per person. Let us know by text or a call if you would like that. And of course you can negotiate further evening meals when you arrive. Evening meals centre around our own super-aged beef and mutton. It’s pot luck, but please feel free to express a preference! All meals are communal and sociable around our farmhouse kitchen table. Grey Alders is fully licensed.

We spent 5 lovely relaxing and refreshing days at Grey Alders and brought back the most delicious beef we’ve ever tasted, and some tasty mutton, which we’d never tried before.

Our time there was just what we needed, time away in the beautiful countryside to rest. Our hosts were lovely.
